Liverpool’s exciting lineup: Unveiling the first 7 matches, including a Saturday afternoon home game

Liverpool fans can now mark their calendars with the confirmed fixtures for the opening two months of the season. After much anticipation and TV selections, the club has finally released the official dates and times for the upcoming matches.

The season kicks off in a high-profile clash against Chelsea on Sunday, August 13 at 4.30pm BST, live on Sky Sports. However, it’s not just the opener that has fans buzzing with excitement. The subsequent six games in August and September promise thrilling encounters for the Reds.

On Saturday, August 19, Liverpool will take to the newly expanded Anfield Road Stand, accommodating an impressive capacity of 61,000, for their first home game of the season against Bournemouth. Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm, but unfortunately, the match will not be televised in the UK.

The Reds then hit the road to face Newcastle on Sunday, August 27, with a televised match at 4.30pm on Sky Sports. September begins with a home fixture against Aston Villa on Sunday, September 3 at 2pm, followed by an away match against Wolves on Saturday, September 16.

The clash at Molineux will be broadcast on TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport) at 12.30pm. It’s worth noting that this game comes just before Liverpool’s first group stage match in the Europa League, set to take place on Thursday, September 21.
