Manchester United’s Rising Star Hannibal Mejbri Playfully Teases Mohamed Salah

Hannibal Mejbri, a promising prospect for Manchester United, was introduced into the game with just over 10 minutes remaining. However, it was during the exuberant celebration of Rafia’s goal in the 95th minute that Mejbri and his teammates took a playful jab at none other than Liverpool’s star, Mohamed Salah, by recreating Salah’s iconic goal celebration.

The camera captured Salah’s response, which reportedly showed him with a smirk as he observed the light-hearted gesture. This incident brought back memories of Mejbri’s earlier run-in with Liverpool’s star players during a visit to Anfield in 2022, a night when Liverpool dominated with a 4-0 victory over a struggling United side.

Despite the disappointing result, Hannibal Mejbri earned praise from former Manchester United defender Gary Neville for his spirited performance, particularly for his fearless challenges on players like Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita. Neville commended the youngster, remarking, “To be fair, at least the kid’s showing a bit of something. Honestly, it takes a young kid to come on and show the rest of them how to sprint to the ball and put a challenge in. I’m actually proud of him. Maybe he doesn’t like the idea of Liverpool players passing around him. I wish the rest of them were the same.”

As the season progresses, Hannibal Mejbri will be eager to seize more opportunities to impress his manager, Erik ten Hag, as Manchester United sets its sights on competing for all four major trophies.
