Mo Salah’s unbelievable treadmill record: Conquering 7km in ridiculous time, proving he’s a machine
Liverpool’s dynamic forward, Mohamed Salah, has been providing fans with glimpses of his rigorous pre-season training ahead of the upcoming campaign. Despite being just three weeks into his summer break, the Egyptian star wasted no time getting back to work and shared his training highlights on Instagram.
In one post, the 31-year-old showcased his remarkable core strength, effortlessly holding his body weight with one arm on a balance ball while holding a dumbbell in the other. This exercise not only improves balance and flexibility but also exemplifies Salah’s dedication to maintaining his physical prowess.
In another video, Salah demonstrated his commitment to a full-body workout by utilizing a reformer pilates machine. This routine helps develop a strong core and tones various major muscle groups, contributing to Salah’s overall fitness.
While some Liverpool fans expressed concern about the potential risks of the exercise, Salah remained focused on his training objectives. However, it was his performance on the treadmill that truly left spectators in awe. The Liverpool forward clocked an astonishing 7.1 kilometers in just 29 minutes and 46 seconds. Achieving a remarkable pace of three minutes and 55 seconds per kilometer, Salah showcased his exceptional endurance and speed.
To put Salah’s treadmill achievement into perspective, the world record for a 5-kilometer run stands at 12 minutes and 35.3 seconds, set by Ugandan runner Joshua Cheptegei. Additionally, Cheptegei holds the record for the fastest 10-kilometer time, completing it in 26 minutes and 11 seconds.
Eager to lead Jurgen Klopp’s team to a top-four finish after narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification, Salah returned to Liverpool’s training facility, Melwood, alongside new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. The Egyptian forward expressed his disappointment on social media, acknowledging that qualifying for the Champions League is the bare minimum expected from a club of Liverpool’s caliber.
Before the Premier League season officially commences, Liverpool will embark on a pre-season tour, beginning with fixtures in Germany followed by a short tour in Singapore at the end of July. The Reds will face tough opponents in Leicester City and Bayern Munich as they fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming campaign.
