Bundesliga Insider Shares Positive Update on Jude Bellingham Transfer Rumours to Liverpool
Bundesliga insider Christian Falk has stated that Liverpool are not completely out of the race for Jude Bellingham this summer. Despite reports suggesting that the Merseyside club had given up on their pursuit of the highly-rated 19-year-old, Falk believes that there is still hope.
Falk claimed that he had heard from Liverpool that they were still hoping to land their top target, despite previously withdrawing from the race due to the high price tag. He revealed that a close friend of Jurgen Klopp’s, Slaven Stanic, could be the key to facilitating a deal between the two clubs.
Stanic, who works for the management of the Liverpool boss, is currently in talks to become the right-hand man of Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund’s sporting director, as sport coordinator. Falk believes that Stanic’s knowledge of Klopp’s interest in Bellingham could help to bring both sides together.
However, Liverpool’s chances of signing Bellingham may still be slim due to the player’s £130m price tag, which could stretch the club’s transfer budget to its limits. The acquisition of the England international may also be contingent on securing Champions League football for next season.
Despite these challenges, Falk remains optimistic that Liverpool could still land their man, provided they are willing to pay the price. Klopp is known to prefer early transfer business, so Liverpool may need to secure the necessary funding from a third-party investor in order to make the signing happen.
